Ranfurly Castle Golf Club
Golf Road, Bridge of Weir, Strathclyde, PA11 3HN United Kingdom
Recognised as one of the finest courses and acknowledged as the best moorland course in the West of Scotland. Your first impressions will be our striking Clubhouse reminiscent of the work of Rennie Mackintosh. However whilst a welcoming Clubhouse it is for golf you will come.
Originally laid out over a century ago on naturally well draining land, our Course is set in the hills above Bridge of Weir, where we enjoy magnificent views over the Renfrewshire countryside to Ben Lomond and the Scottish mountains.
An uphill start will lead you swiftly to the plateau where the course levels out. You will enjoy undulating fairways, heather, gorse and bracken as you wind your way around the course. There are challenging drives at nine and fifteen, but the welcoming sight of the Clubhouse greets you from the eighteenth tee, prompting thoughts of a bite to eat and a drink, whilst watching the sun slowly setting in the west.Book a Tee Time

a great course that humbles many in the area like renfrew and haggs castle.
not the longest but some blind shots, brilliantly thought out holes and tight but fair landing areas.
the views and the surrounding area of the course are beautifull and quiet.
some of the tee shots you have make you want to stay on the tee and just keep hitting.
well worth a play

A lovely course in the Bridge of Weir with lovely veiws of the west. The course has a lot of personality and due to the varying orientations of each hole, the wind can always be a factor.
There are 2 great holes in which you must drive over a cliff face about 30ft high infront of the tee box, a blind shot that is not for the faint hearted. A few par threes that are more difficult than they look and the usual long par 4s. Greens are in good condition and the course was in pretty good condition for the spring.
Would reccommend this for both novice and veteran.

Established in 1889, It is a beutiful course, not long, but challenging. Once past the first the two opening holes, you have wonderful scenery to look at as you ponder your next shot. It is a parkland course with a links feel to it.
