A really good course and well worth a visit. Staying out of the heather is the key to a good round. The chances of finding your balll if you hit into the heather are very slim. The course was in excellent condition. Club shop was extremely helpful as we had never played here before. Gave good information and tips.

Played this course before. Couple of the guys got a deal for £12.50 hence reason we played it. Average is about the best I can say. Will not slate it as have played far worse.

the course is great condition the greens role very true no bobbles what so ever. The fairways are amazing always get a nice lie. the rough is very thick.

A nice course , BUT, still quite boggy in parts given a couple of days of good sunshine. Overall enjoyable and would certainly play there again. When I asked was told it closes quite often due to the weather when bad. Try it yourself and see.

As a Member, I play most, but by no means, not all of my golf at Penn and there has been a major shift in the quality of the course and greens over recent years. The layout is now more playable for all standards of golfers, but remains challenging due to its varied natural heathland layout and quality undulating greens. I never tire of playing here and love the great social side with the many friends I have made.
It is worth adding that the Club has also benefitted recently from a new catering team which now produces fantastic food with good variety and excellent value.
Penn is a welcoming, friendly Club with a great Membership and is well worth playing or joining.

Excellent course in great condition. Staff were very friendly but it's a shame I can't say the same thing about the members of the club. A player in my 4 ball hit a shot about 10 yards right of a horse coming up a path. Instead of this member minding his own business he started shouting and screaming at us all saying you'll never play this course again. In the end this player and his old friends got in more trouble but the golf was enjoyable.

Average course, no real stand out holes. Interesting location on the common. Wind howls across the open landscape. Fairways firm and bouncy, greens in good condition and quite fast. Friendly staff

Wonderful golf course I would recommend to all handy cap levels
Fairways exalent
Greens immaculate
Club house and members very welcoming
I played here twenty years ago and would have scored it 7 out of 10
Now it earns an easy 11/10
