What the club says: “This is where it all began. Golf has been played on the ‘Inch’ for over 500 years and it’s one of the worlds oldest golfing venues. Lying within the North Inch parkland and on the banks of the river Tay, North Inch offers an enjoyable challenge to players of all abilities. Only a short iron shot from classical Georgian City of Perth, it is no more than an hours’ drive away for most Scottish golfers.”

“The course is an enjoyable challenge at 5442 yards off the medal tees, with a par of 68. This gives some hope to the beginner and high handicap players, but still offers a challenge to the low handicap player. Having started as a 6 hole course, moving on to 12 and finally 18 holes, the additional holes being laid out by the legendary Old Tom Morris of St Andrews.”

“The North Inch Golf Course is 45 minutes by road from Edinburgh, 30 minutes from Stirling and 20 minutes from Dundee.”

An interesting course with plenty of variety of length and shape of holes and a variety of hazards both trees and water.

Excellent course and great value

Course is in fantastic conditions with the greens particularly good and running true. Fairways are well manicured and shaped with the rough not too penal. Pace of play was good with a 3 hour round for a 2 ball at a gentle pace. Highly recommended to play if you are in the area.

Challenging course, with several interesting holes
Course is only slightly hilly, not physically challenging
No clubhouse just portacabin for starter.
I believe you can use nearby Bells Spirts centre for changing etc.
Parking is sometimes difficult at weekends when sports centr busy

Recent work has improved the condition and layout of course.
Much more interesting than I imagined. Not much heavy rough and sensibly they have cut under trees. Very flat. No clubhouse.

Memorable Course

My Golfing Tour Group played North Inch earlier this year, and we were all very impressed with this very fine Golf Course. Hidden Gem ? yes absolutely, one of the many Golf Courses
we have played in the last 30 years, that we would have no doubts about revisiting. Do not be 'put off' by it being a 'Public Course', it is very well maintained with many Holes that would grace any Private Courses. Arranged/Booked directly, via very helpful/accommodating staff.
