What the club says: An Open qualifying course, the golf club was founded in 1832. It has an antiquated charm with walls, burns, yawning bunkers and commanding views out to sea and of the Forth estuary. Course designers all over the world have copied many of the testing holes.

Every hole was unique and offered amazing views. The layout was perfect and the greens were true. The course was in fantastic condition, and the ever changing views were something to behold. I was also extremely impressed by the clubhouse facilities, customer service, staff friendliness and professionalism.

Every hole different, fabulous condition , true greens, On a piece of land that has not been messed with. Amazing ever changing views.

Loved the course, the back nine stands out as one of if not the best stretches of golf I have played. Lots of quirky interesting holes that will live long in the memory. Need some improvement in the clubhouse on food and drink but otherwise a great day.

Fantastic Course
Amazing setting, friendly welcome, course in great condition, superb mix of holes, great views and holes the likes you've probably not experienced before.......can't say enough about how good the overall experience is. We were lucky, sunny day with very little wind, so definitely in my Top 5 courses played. superb.Reviewer Rating

Day 3
This was day 3 of scotland trip.wow this was a beautiful corse, again with stunning views. The fairways as greens were excellent, and the quirky lttle walls you had to play over on some holes were interesting and the little streams and bunkers could catch you out The staff were freindly and helpful(Round played: Jun 2021 - Score: 88 Handicap: 14.4)

Links heaven North Berwick
A beautiful challenging links course. A challenge for golfers of all standards. Great mix of holes, incredible views all round. If you are ever in East Lothian, this is a must play.(Round played: Oct 2019 - Score: 80 Handicap: )

Exceptional
Bucket list course. Played on the strength of watching the No Laying Up vlog on You Tube. If you have a vague interest in golf architecture this place is a must. Front nine into the wind is a slog. The back nine with the wall splitting the fairway from the Green on the Pit hole is as quirky as it is marvellous. 15 is the world famous Redan hole. 18 "Home" is a great driveable par 4 to finish. Spectacular views of the beach and Bass Rock just add additional lustre to this fantastic golf course.(Round played: Mar 2019 - Score: 88 Handicap: 13.2)
