The breathtaking backdrop of the Ribble Valley and Pendle Hill makes playing our 18 hole par 72 course an unforgettable experience. This fast maturing course has many interesting aspects.
The course is laid into the hillside above the hotel,and as such can be quite challenging,our infamous 6th hole known as 'myttons ascent' is a challenge for even the most serious of golfers. Once you have reached the summit you will be well rewarded. Stunning panoramic views over the Ribble Valley, Forest of Bowland, Yorkshire Dales over to the Fylde coast and the distant spire of Blackpool Tower.
To assist you around the course we have a fleet of golf buggies, available all year and all weather buggy paths for you to enjoy your day in comfort.

I can't believe I actually played this course after arriving there, Parallel fairways and very hilly. Not my idea of golf.
Not a test of golf more about whether your fit or can adjust your clubs for uphill/downhill shots, devoid of fairway bunkers (can't reach them anyway you'd be too knackered).
Good use of internal OOB and water.
I will play this again but only with a buggy and oh yes I can't get a round anywhere else.
Hotel has a bar area just for golfers (away from the residents) which is a good idea, friendly service but expensive: £5:30 for a chicken salad baguette.

I can't believe I actually played this course, very hilly and parallel fairways are not my cup of tea, course holes were reasonable but the test here is whether your fit or can you adjust for uphill or downhill shots.
Not many bunkers (only around the greens) but good use of internal OOB and water.
I will play this again but not for some while and only with a buggy oh and only If I can't get a round somewhere else

Gets a Fair for "The Course" because of the layout. It's a terrible design, up and down the hill on parrallel holes. I was glad when it was over. Beautiful views however, but bring an oxygen mask, or get a buggie!! I shaln't be returning.
