Founded in 1980 by Lord and Lady Moyola and opened by Seve Ballesteros, Moyola Park Golf Club is set in the beautiful wooded parkland of Shanemullagh, a Georgian House occupying 130 acres. A golf designer's dream, it has been transformed into the present course by well-known Ulster golfer Don Patterson and Landscape Architect Alan Smith, who have succeeded in blending the layout of the course with the rural parkland location. It is widely considered one of the best parkland courses in Northern Ireland with every hole featuring a different layout requiring a variety of shots to challenge and delight every golfer whatever their handicap.
