This place is a bit of a hidden gem. I only live 20 mins drive away but hadn't heard of it until last month and its been ther over 15 years apparently. Its a bit of a links in appearance, numerous deep pot bunkers and rough which looks as though it would be brutal come spring/ summer. Greens are very contoured and played well for the time of year and the weather we have had lately. Lovely and quiet with good views of the surrounding countryside. Food was good and prices were reasonable. Staff were brilliant as when my electric trolley broke after 3 holes a greenkeeper returned it to the clubhouse for me and brought me a hire pull trolley out on his return. On the whole can't fault and will be returning time and time again.

used to be a member 7/8 years ago. not played it much since then till this week. as good as ever. teasingly open but you will get punished in the rough which will grab your club. fairly quick greens that are in great shape.

There are 2 courses at Kirtlington, a short 9 hole acadamy course with 3 par 4's and the rest par 3's. Most fairways are quite narrow so accuracy is needed. Very good for beginners and as it is quite a short course it is ideal for a quick game in the evening. The main course is also good, there are some interesting holes. Not too many places to lose a wayward ball. Prices are good for memberships and green fees, especially over 60's. If I was not a member at Studley Wood I would join here. In fact I might anyway when I reach 60!

The course played ok considering the fairways were a bit wet & the grass needed cutting on fairways too. greens were in good

The price of this course and the quality of it just do not equate. Don't get me wrong it's a nice course to play but what worries me is that I always seem to score well here and that tells me it's a bit too easy. In the summer too many parts of the course are covered with very long grass which does not provide a test a other times of the year. Replace the long grass with trees and this would be a big improvement.

My Home Course. Wide open spaces with some lovely views of North Oxfordshire and surrounding villages. The 3rd and 4th run alongside the Canal and railway so you have to watch out for swans nicking your balls!
Can be a bit boggy and wet in places due to poor drainage but a good test for beginners and improvers and a chance for more accomplished players to see if they are as good as that handicap says.
