What the club says: Kirkcaldy Golf Course is known locally as Balwearie and is set in 150 acres of a beautiful, rolling piece of Fife countryside. It was designed by the famous Tom Morris in 1904 and is a very attractive 18 Hole parkland course designed to challenge golfers of all standards. One of the many features is a traditional Scottish burn which meanders it’s way by five holes throughout the course.
To complement the golf, players can sample the wonderful clubhouse facility, which provides excellent food and beverage in a friendly environment.

Brilliant course. There wasn't one boring hole. They all had something different and were all in excellent condition. Can't really fault it.

Nice course with some quirky holes. Short par 3 on front nine is a nice little hole at just over 100 yards it's still tricky. Some tight holes where's straight tee shot is essential otherwise many balls may be lost!!

(Round played: May 2016 - Score: 91 Handicap: 16.5) Superb little golf course in Fife. After what is a daunting but not too difficult first the course opens up to provide all golfers with a good challenge. The seventeenth and final hole are exceptional, especially if can walk off with par or better. Good friendly professional and members (some of whom we met). A good challenge for golfers of all abilities which is well worth a visit if your in the area.

Hilly course and too many blind shots. Greens / bunkers in good condition, a few sloping fairways. Staff friendly.

A short course and in my view over priced, a bit stuffy without the prestige, left underwhelmed.

Not the longest course in the world, but what it lacks in length it more than covers in variety. A course that is both hilly in parts, tree lined, in others, and always well kept. Greens are truly in great condition. Most deinately a course when you want to bring your course management "A" game. Friendly and polite staff, and very good bar facilities. Enjoyable round, and would revisit.

This is the first club I've been a member of having joined last year so maybe this review will be a bit rose tinted. I think it's a cracking course, not overly long but every hole is interesting with a couple of score wreckers just before the turn and a fantastic will I won't I par 5 17th. The course is always in immaculate condition and the greens are lightning fast. The staff are all very welcoming as are all the members I've met. If you're in the area give it a try, you won't be disappointed.
