Nice to be back
As one gets older, you are less able to exert as much energy as is sometimes needed to play 18 holes of golf and so I was happy that the Pines course was quiet when I arrived to play yesterday at 1.21pm. The fairways and greens were in good condition considering that even here in Aberdeen we had had a lot of sun and very little rain for some time. I was able to play at my pace and was also pleasantly surprised when I caught up with a husband and wife who suggested that I play through as they might hold me up.Reviewer Rating

Good condition
This course which is considered the second course in the area, is well worth playing as it provides a reasonable challenge without being as taxing as the MacKenzie course.Reviewer Rating

Big improvement
This was my first visit for a year and I was impressed with the condition of the course especially the greens. There are quite a few wet patches in the rough especially under trees but that is not surprising considering the amount of rain we have had recently. The new booking arrangements are also working well but there was a suggestion from one player that someone had sneaked on at the second hole perhaps without a booking. Overall it was an enjoyable experience.Reviewer Rating

Great course worth playing
Always enjoy playing this course. It's great value for money if you're a member through Aberdeen City Council. I regularly switch from the Pines (course 2) to Mackenzie (Course 1), although my favourite is the Mackenzie. The only thing that gets me is the drainage at the Mackenzie. It never seems to be dry even with little rain, such a shame.Reviewer Rating

Really good course
Pretty straight course but the dog legs arent that bad, some distance to a few holes, so get the driver working and you will have a low round(Round played: Jun 2020 - Score: 98 Handicap: 28.1)
