What the club says: In 1925 the club moved to its present site and the new course layout was developed by the famous course designer, James Braid, who was also responsible for the layout of the King’s Course at Gleneagles among many others in this area. A feature of the original layout is the number of bunkers which were included, all of which still come into play for the average golfer today.

The course is a mature parkland design framed by over 20 species of trees, measuring over 6,600 yards from the black tees and is of championship standard. The course is open for play all year round.

Resembles a well maintained municipal course, nothing special and any members we bumped into were of the sullen variety, met with a grunt at the clubhouse by some official looking chap, thankfully won't be back.
