As a solo player on this occasion, I felt slightly aggreived at not being informed there was club play in progress, and as a result got caught behind SIX fours.
Maybe I have been spoiled playing the beautiful parks of Derbyshire, this was my first time on a links course, and speaking to others going round that day, it seems this is to be expected.
Challenging, Definitely. Frustrating, absolutely. Fun is hampered when one hits a great shot down the fairway only to find a lousy lie due to the terrain. (It's a Links course)
The staff, although very friendly blamed the lack of rain for the condition of the course.
Strangely the ground was good at the council Pitch and Putt over the road, which was where I spent the rest of my break brushing up on my short game.
