Poor condition, memeber was embarassed!

I played both of the Fox Hills courses a lot last year when my son was a member and it was in great condition.
Played the Longcross with another member friend on Tuesday and was very disappointed.
Greens were in an appalling state of repairs with numerous bare patches on every green apart from the last which is hared with the `Bernard Hunt and overlooked by the clubhouse.
The fairways were not cut and the grass on the T boxes was too long.
The course was very tired and gave the impression of being completely overplayed and very tired .
I would not want to be a member here.

Wet and muddy.

Course is wet and muddy. Greens are ok. Course is completely saturated, built on clay. Don't know whether it should be open. Pretty tough to hit shots off of those fairways though some managed it.

Played in a corporate event recently here and was very disappointed.
Seems to have slipped in recent years and doesn't look to be worth the money. If anything it look a little tatty around the edges, and in dire need of some money spent on buildings and courses.

Greens in poor condition (Longcross)

Having played here a lot a few years ago it was very disappointing to return and find the general standard of the course and the restaurant not what it was.

The design of the Longcross is great, not the longest but with some decent par 3s and an excellent par 5 (14th).

The problem was that the greens were awful on about 8/18 holes. Not just mildly bad, either bare (6th) or with what looks like a disease as strips of grass were laid down (looked like astroturf or a rug of grass) on parts which made them unplayable in parts if you landed on the wrong area to the point you almost wished you could play with a wedge not putter!

Several of the bunkers were quite bare too, and whilst I never enjoy being in a bunker I do expect to have a modicum of sand to play the shot from.

I didn't play well but I was also playing with a couple of other players who are single figure handicappers and they were also as frustrated by the course and green quality so it is not a case of a bad round being blamed on the course, it just wasn't very good on the greens.

Overall for the money they charge (we were on a deal at half price and still felt we were paying too much) you don't expect to experience such poor greens.

I hope they correct it, the course and the setup used to be great, I hope they can get it back there.

Played longcross. Nice challenging course. Narrow fairways. Lots of trees. 98 score handicap 18.5\Service quite slow though. Be prepared to wait everywhere. Tee times are usually not adhered to to. Booked bernard hunt but had to change to longcross as 12 players were still waiting to tee off at our scheduled time.

Lovely course in beautiful resort. Shame the fairways were boggy and heavily sanded on the 1st June, made playing difficult in places.

Courses were both in good condition considering the rain. The driving range is very poor considering how well kept the rest of the facilities are.

Great course top facilities

Not cheap but played on a reciprocal freebie so great value for me! good course with some lovely holes however very playable if fairly straight off the tee but can play long especially in wet conditions, overall a good course well worth playing.

Difficult to say if the course is usually in a good condition as it was extremely wet for this round. However, the greens were in good condition and handled the rain and wet conditions much better than the fairways and ruff. The Longcross is a better and more interesting course, but this is still good.
