Fantastic course worth visiting

First time I've played the course and it was a beautiful course, very friendly staff and superb food afterwards.
Will definitely revisit!

Little Gem...!

Undulating gently hilly makes this tree lined course very interesting.... a series of Blind Tee shots and doglegs mean ball position is key!
Fairways were well maintained and firm, and despite the recent lack of rain and the current heatwave, there are no bare patches of grass, although the grass was browned. The greens however are lush green, receptive and very True to put on.... Worth a visit...!

Due to Covid, we chose not to use clubhouse facilities, hence no scoring.

Excellent experience

We played here on a June Saturday afternoon after 13:30 which is the earliest visitors can start. Our group of 8 were made to feel very welcome by the staff and members and had no waiting on any tee or anyone coming up behind us - something that allows us to enjoy a new course without feeling at all rushed. The course proved challenging due to the wind but fair and did reward good golf. The holes in "the valley" were particularly good with a selection of long par 4's and a great par 3. The 15th is the only hole that is pretty hilly and a green that looked benign but was anything but - witness putting off the green and a 2-foot putt that ended up 5 feet past the hole. The condition of the course was good, the greens were true and fair and fairways pretty lush.

As we enjoyed a post-round beer, we were invited by the club captain to have some food that was provided to members to celebrate the retirement of a long-standing staff member which was a really welcome touch - and the food was excellent.

All in all, a course that is well hidden away but worth visiting for the test it provides and the very welcoming nature of people there. Would recommend.

Lovely course in great condition, usually play here in October so it was nice to play without leaves everywhere. Very friendly staff, good facilities. Well worth playing this course.

Nice course

Nice course, greens and fairways could have done with a cut as were quite long. Pace of play was an issue waiting at every hole sometimes for 10mins. This disrupted the flow of my game, but as it was my first game in 6 months it wasn’t too bad.
