Deangate Ridge Golf Club
Deangate Ridge is an 18 hole, par 71 course measuring 6,300-yards. Set among rolling parkland and trees, it has well-kept fairways and greens and offers a challenge to golfers of all standards, from the complete novice to the professional.
Opened in 1972 by the boxer, Sir Henry Cooper, and designed by the world-renowned F.W. Hawtree, the course boasts high quality fairways, and greens of private club quality. It is however, one of the most reasonably priced courses in the south-east.
The course has a number of memorable holes. Great views off the tee hide a shot that is anything but clear-cut on the par 3 fourth hole, that is both Beauty and the Beast. However the narrow, tree-lined 204-yard par 3 17th hole is just plain Beast. The most breathtaking (literally) has to be the 392-yard, par 4 sixth hole nicknamed "Cardiac Hill".Contact Information

Location
Location: From London: Take the M2, then the A2, then take Junction 1 onto the A289 signposted Grain. At the roundabout, turn left onto the A228, straight over 1st roundabout, then turn left at the 2nd roundabout, take 1st left. From Gillingham: Come through the Medway Tunnel turning right at the 1st 3 roundabouts following the signs to the A228 to Grain, then straight over 1st roundabout, then turn left at the 2nd roundabout, take 1st left.

First visit. Not a bad course at all, especially good condition for mid November. Work going on around Club house and not the most luxurious, but serves it's purpose. Decent Pro shop. Warm welcome.
Very crowded which isn't surprising as they only charge £21 at weekends! Nearly 5 hour round. Would definately go back though.

Fantastic course and very friendly staff and members. Played here a few weeks ago and had a great round and met some really nice people. The course has amazing greens for a public course and the fairways are really well looked after and alot better than some courses ive payed over £40 to play on. This has to be one of Kent's best public courses and i would say give it a try!!!
One of the highlights is the 17th a seriously long par 3 which is now my fav hole ive played.

Decent course, especially for the beginner, fairways aren't the worst I have played on by any means and are fairly wide so give the beginner a chance to "let rip", the greens however are in excellent condition and rival many a so called better course...well worth a try and definately value for money, especially at £13.50 on weekdays after 11am

the last time i played this course the greens were in excellent condition, for some reason they have spiked the greens and then covered in sand so putting was impossible toread the greens or to judge the pace of them, if i knew the course would be like this i would have gone elsewhere.
