Designed by Harry S. Colt, of Wentworth and Sunningdale fame, this mature parkland course opened for play in the late 1930s. The 6,037 yard layout surrounds the hotel and features lush fairways and high quality greens making for a relaxing and enjoyable 18 holes of golf. Visitors: Set in 140 acres of picturesque Surrey countryside, this 4* manor house hotel was originally built for the Byron family in the 1850s. It has since been extended to 35 bedrooms yet has lost none of its intimate charm and aesthetic qualities. The estate boasts a rare collection of trees collected from all over the world by Thomas Byron as well as the AA award winning Manor House Restaurant which serves fine cuisine. The Terrace Bar is also on hand to provide lighter snacks and outdoor refreshments. For activities off the golf course, Reflections leisure club has tennis, squash, racketball, a gymnasium, aerobic studio, sunbeds as well as steam and sauna rooms.

Course relatively straight forward, good for the occasional golfer/warm-up for the season ahead. Course is in good condition but the greens are slow at the moment as the grass is long.
Facilities are limited but the price is very reasonable and on the a couple of the holes you can see the London skyline.

Played this course in light rain following 12 hours of constand rain. Whilst it was somewhat slippery under foot and the ground rather heavy I was surprised at how well the course was holding up.
Simple parkland style course with no water (other than that falling out of the sky) but pleasnt of trees, luimps bumps and well placed bunker to make you think about your shot.
Only 1 hole over 500 yards so short hitters are not punished, with a couple of tricky par 3s.
Not the most challenging course I have ever played but for a Sunday morning run out and at £24 a very enjoyable few hours.

The fairways and greens were both in very good condition. I was disappointed that the card didn't have a map which meant i had to guess my way around. A good little course which is at worse, a tad boring.

the greens and farways were very good ,first time here, and would go again, but the hotel needed a coat of paint, food was good ,just a shame about the weather ,price good as well

We played this as part of the groupon deal which made it a steal. The course is a really interesting layout and a good test. The greens wouldn't look out of place on a championship course, excellent condition. The hotel looks like it could do with a spruce up but very friendly service and nice food. Will definitely go back.

A lovely little course with some interesting holes. Not very long but you have to think your way round. With an sss of 70, it is at the easier end of the scale but well worth playing. I would certainly go back there.

The holes close to the clubhouse are nice but they get worse at the back end of the course. Some greens have trouble with what looks like rabbit holes.There for temp greens in situ.

Played for the first time yesterday. Greens and fairways in excellent condition. A somewhat featureless course but very impressed, nonetheless. Not too difficult a course, and would definitely visit again
