the course has suffered dramaticly due to the money being spent on the facilities and not the course. The locker rooms, toilets and general appearence is very nice but this is at the sacrifice of the course. First 5 holes are like swamps with poor drainage keeping water on fairways, the greens are patchy with mud, divots are not repaired on tee boxes (which have no indicators) and they are a mess, 5 balls are being permitted to play with wardens not sorting it out, bunkers are full of stones, overall a the course looks like its been let go. Shame because when its in good nick its a great course to play.

challenging course for all levels of ability. With water in play, tight fairways lined with closely planted trees, blind tee shots, hitting from elevated tees and to elevated greens. The general tidiness of the course id disappointing. However, this is a council course and as long as you bear that in mind when playing you wont be disappointed. The fairways and greens are above the expexcted standard for a concil course and have good drainage. The tee areas do need some work.

Council course which has improved in recent years. Tee areas not great but greens and fairways have improved a lot. Good course for average golfers like myself.

You get what you pay for ? True ? Well you can apply that saying to this course. Simple rules are; Play between the end of may until the middle of september and avoid at all other times. At it's best it is a great test of golf and can look good but as it is a municipal course and the council seem dis-interested with maintaining it, local golfers have to put up with it or travel to seek better.

this coarse will never change ................flags missing and on one hole a twig with a plastic bottle on the end ha ha,fairways like forests and greens that you have to pitch on,what a waste of what could be a really nice golf course........change the ground staff and get some cash spent on it please.

The course had alot of potential in terms of layout. However, The fairways were like swamps with next to no drainage (even after an entire week of beautiful weather) Every ball would plug straight into the ground and as it was so wet it was very hard to get them out as they went in so deep.. There was only about 8 flags so if you have never been before it was a total nightmare. One particular hole had a branch with a beer can on it which sums it up well. One man even decided to steal my ball from the next fairway even though i clearly saw him do this. Fairways were basically fields that had been mowed (not very well). I have complained and i would suggest never ever going here as there is no money being invested into it. I would say this would put beginners off. Save your money and go to south lanarkshire courses. I want to pay for north lanarkshire courses but not at this type of quality. Dreadful.

For £7 i cant really comlain about this course though sometimes the greens are in the best of conditions and if your thinking of going to play this course make sure your tee'd off before 10:30am or you'll be in for a long day due to the 5sum that plays at a ridiculicy slow pace everyday between 11am and 3pm
