I joined about a month ago and this was my second round. Course was ok then but is really taking shape now. Drier, greens a lot nicer. Really looking forward to what it will be like in a couple of weeks and rest of summer.

Just joined the course and this was my first round. 4 hours and 15 to get round. No holdups just a nice walk. First 4 or 5 holes not in fabulous nick, but for west of Scotland at this time of year, pretty good. Better on the higher up holes.
Fantastic views of loch and ben lomond, clubhouse beautiful, if a tad pricey. Views will be better when leaves are out on trees. Hopefully will play a bit shorter......

joined the de vere club just to be a member of the carrick . the course is the most well looked after that ive played superbly rolled greens ,lots of water and hazards make it a challenge while the scenic par 3 14th hole is set against the backdrop of the loch a fantastic layout needing a well placed ball from an elevated t...........simply stunning
,the clubhouse is in excellent condition clean and welcoming with freindly staff who are always ready to look after members and visitors alike ,true it is pricey but it is loch lomond ! dont be fooled by cheaper courses ,this is scottish golf at its best

Well kept greens and really fun to play - its just so short though (9holes for 15 quid)
Be aware though this isn't called the "wee demon" for nothing as this is a narrow course you have to be able to hit straight otherwise you will lose lots of balls or hit the very large chalets with very large windows that run parallel to the fairways.

The greens are always in poor condition and there is much works going on. Views and course design are excellent but the course needs time to mature.

Played only once at the beginning of the season 23/06/10 and found it to be in poor condition. The expectation was high from what i had heard about the course, but sadly there were too many areas of g.u.r. and major drainage works going on. Also the greens were horrific to putt on as the were caked in gritty sand. Just played at the wrong time as i reckon mid-summer given the course layout, works completed and the beautifull location it would be very appealling for every golfer to play.
