Brampton Heath Golf Club
18 hole course:
Building work began in July 1993 and the course was opened in May 1995 nearly 2 years later. Now more than 9 years later the many trees and gorse that have been planted to complement the existing trees have matured & so helped to give not only a very scenic course but a challenging one for all abilities.
9 hole Short Course:
Its quality is reflected in the course, twice hosting qualifying events for the British P.G.A. Short Course Championships in 1999 and 2001. It is also regularly used by all the County Elite Squads as a training facility.
For golfers it is an excellent way to improve your short game, whilst for beginners and early starters, the perfect introduction before moving onto play on the full-length course.

Location: From South. *M1 to Junction 16 (Daventry) *A45 (Northampton) to next roundabout (approx. 2 miles). Turn left at Roundabout. *Continue through mini roundabout, up to the end of the road *Turn left, then immediately right (approx. 100 yards) *Turn left onto A428. Continue past Harlestone Firs and into Harlestone village *Please be aware that this is considered an accident blackspot and as such a Speed Camera has been sighted here. As you leave village, Turn right sign posted The Bramptons. From North * M1 to Junction 18 (Crick) * A428 signposted West Haddon * Continue on A428 for approx. 8 miles * Past Althorp House, Turn left just at Harlestone village, sign posted The Bramptons

Cracking course in Northampton and excellent value for money.
I played in the middle of summer and despite the dry weather the fairways were holding up well which I guess was from hard work by the course stuff. The greens were exceptional, slick and true.
Great facilities and pro shop plus friendly staff and members.
The clubhouse included a veranda and upper balcony/function room which I would imagine is great for comps/societies because you can view both the 9th and 18th greens.
Highly recommend.The Course

A premier pay as you play just two miles from Northampton city centre. The course was in great condition especially the fairways and greens. After two weeks of sunshine the fairways looked baked but they were still bouncey and you never got a bad lie and the green were very quick and reseptive.

Really enjoyed this round of golf, Course was in really good condition especially with the rain from the past couple of days. Drained really well.
Green were perfect, seem to be well looked after by the members.
Course was very wide and forgiving, but you can still get punished by the odd bush here or there. Would still be a good test for mid to high handicapper.
If I was in the area I'd 100% go back.

nice course - short off yellow tees - fairways hard at this time of year so need to take that into account - greens in good condition - very receptive to shots into the green. If you want to hit driver off the tee all the time maybe not the course for you.....

this course is tough but very good, wide fairways, exelent playing serfice all year round greens are supperb, good freindly staff exelent food at good prices all the facilaties there a golfer wants

The best drained course in Nothampton/Leicetershire area by far, playable in almost any weather.
Mainly flat, easy walking and fairly open although by no means that easy but is does allow you to 'open the shoulders' and have a go.

played there a few times in the evening. cost £15 fro 18 holes. But from 1st of july cost goign up to £20. Bi grise. Also Bar closes by 9pm in Summer.

A testing challenge for golfers of all calibres with accuracy being the key.The course punishes you severely for being off target with the rough/semi-rough extremely tough, that's if you can find your ball !!!!
