Quick Links
Bidford Grange Hotel and Golf Complex
This 18 hole, par 72 championship layout, which can measure 7,233 yards from the very back tees with a standard scratch of 74, is one of the longest courses in England and is built to play like a links course. It has American bent grass greens and is fully irrigated. The course features a variety of water hazards including lakes and the River Avon. It made its EuroPro Tour debut in September 2004 and perhaps the toughest tests on the course are the mammoth 600 yard 8th, the uphill par 4 13th and the 223 yard 'short' 16th.
18 holes. Par 72. 7233 yards. Links-style Parkland.

Played this course with 11 others in the summer, I have to admit its a very long walk so great for the big big hitters but otherwise has very little going for it.
I think they must employ grass cutters and not green keepers because the overall condition of the greens were awful to say the least, not easy to find your way around the course and the bar was very poorly stocked, IE no draught at all! The whole enterprise seems to be running on a shoestring and is in need of investment. The Course

The course is good condition at the moment. The club seems to be spending alot of time on the course to rectify any issues. Still no sand in the bunkers but after a chat with the course manager this is being resolved shortly.

Greens were in a sorry condition, hadnt been cut, bumpy with weeds and other stuff a plenty. No sand in any fairway bunkers and apparently this has been the case for 3 years. Tee boxes were also very poor condition, scraggy looking. How this course got a europro event is beyond belief and even at £15 your money would be better spent elsewhere. A shame really as the buildings there look magnificent and with a lot of work this would be a £50 per round course as the layout is there but looks like very little work is done on the course.

I have been playing here most days for the last 4 Months and the Club is really starting to improve. The fairways are kept very well as are the greens. The new tees are almost finished and the Bunkers have been lined ready to fill with sand. Once the above is finished this will be a very good course.
Only downside is the Clubhouse is not finished and you have to use the Hotel Complex. But the staff are friendly and helpful and the food is good. The Course

It's nearly a year and a half since playing this course so to comment now would be unreasonable.

I haven't played this course for 10 years. They've swapped the front and back nine over. The bunkers were all GUR and mostly bare, which was a shame. We were told that work is due to resolve the issue. Still a long challenging course where straight and long drives prosper.
