Altrincham Municipal Golf Club
Altrincham Golf Course owned run by Trafford Community Leisure Trust is an 18 hole, par 71 that plays 6385 yards from the competition tee's. Although technically parkland the open and firm nature of the course means that, particularly in the summer months it plays very much like a links with tight, firm lies and fast greens it provides a challenging test for any standard of golfer.
First established in 1893 it's a mature course filled with natural ponds and Timperly brook meandering throughout. Every hole offers the golfer something different, from a short par 3 playing over water to long par 5's that will test the big hitters. Contact Information

Location: Altrincham Golf Club is approximately eight miles south of Manchester on Stockport Road (A560). Between Timperley village and the busy market town of Altrincham.

Good standard municipal, some challenging holes with streams, but on pretty forgiving on the whole. Can have issues with dog walkers and joggers etc on the course, therefore insurance is a must in my view

like this course but played today and in my opinion they are squeesing too many ee times in, we wer stuck behind a four ball and waiting around leaning on our clubs most of the round because 1) 2 of them were really slow and 2) The four ball in front of them were very slow also!!!!

a good muni to play at any time some great holes here, 1 hole you must hit your shot to the green over a line of trees and stream just in front, nice hole to get it right.. food and drinks in pub on the course at the 18th

In good nick for a municipal, worth plaing. Only downside for me was that some tees were very close to some greens and some green very close together, went over back of one green straight onto another green .overall enjoyable

Says its a 2 4 1 course but it doesnt accept them but its half price mondays, good greens and a good muni

This course has improved a lot over the last year. Greens are good, if not very receptive, fairways are wide and generous and tees and pins are regularly moved to change things up. It is a Muni so you do get some plonkers but when you can play on a monday for £6.25 you can't really complain!

Some nice holes on the course just a pity the fairways are not to a great standered, most greens where in good condition though.Doesnt seem to be any dress code, people walking around in jeans and flowered shorts, dont know if we where unlucky but got stuck behind a few plonkers who would spend ages looking for balls on every hole and finishing there cigs and drinks on the tees with no concideration to the rest of the course that was being held up.

This is just standard Municiple golf course. The greens are in good condition but the fairways need work. Will agree with having to watch out for sliced balls, Toz nearly hit people on every hole.

Decent golf course - busy at weekends, but not too busy. Quite a few fairways close to T's / Greens, so you ahve to look out for sliced shots etc coming your way. Condition of course is very good and I always enjoy a round here. £10 for a game at 4pm on a Sunday (maybe earlier) is great value. If you can drive straight it's a good course to get a decent score on - not too many long holes, but is in good condition and well layed out. Give it a go.
