Course was very challenging and enjoyable, although it was suffering a little from the winter weather. Facilities we're excellent with putting / chipping greens, practice nets, practice holes and driving area. I look forward to playing again when the weather improves!

I recently played here for the first time with a friend on a 2fore1 voucher. Was very impressed right from the start! Club shop was well stocked and the pro in the shop could not have been more helpful or welcoming. The course itself is not the longest at less than 6000yds of the yellows but it was in immaculate condition. The tee boxes were well maintained, fairways were superb and the greens were the best I've played on in this country this year! A thinkers course to plot yourself a round but there are oppurtunities to open the shoulders up! Went for a pint afterwards and the grand club house was inviting and the staff friendly, however £7.50 for a bottle of cider and a pint of lager does seem a little on the steep side.

I have played Sale a few times with friends and still believe they have the best greens in the north west!
The course has been set up to reward good driving, but punish errant driving in equal measures. You don't need to be too long off the tee, position is key.
The 18th is a great final hole, especially in match play games. You need a good drive, short iron in, then have to put on one of the most testing and largest finishing grens in golf! Good luck!

Played 7th May £70 for a fourball. Enjoyable course with some well placed hazards. 13th hole very challenging. Some greens a little long and slow though generally good. Will definately play again.

Nicely laid out, longish course, which runs along the Mersey Valley, tends to be a busy course and a little overpriced in comparison with some of it's neighbours, such as Chorlton, Davyhulme, Didsbury.

I played here yesterday (04.06.09) using their £70 4 ball offer. You can't beat this for value for money - the greens are in tip top perfect condition and have some very challenging holes (namely the 13th), so to pay £17.50 for a 18 hole round in June, I beg someone to find a better deal in the country!
