Golf course review of British Army Golf Club Sennelager

Not the longest of courses, but a true test of golf. The Course is set in the middle of a dense pine forest on the edge of the British Army Training Area in Sennelager, Germany. The Course and all the Facilities are maintained by both Civillians and the military. The Club has been in exsistance since 1963 when it was a 9 - hole course but over the years has expanded to a 27 - hole layout. The 18 hole Forest Pine Course as said earlier is not the longest of courses, but can be quite technical and does make you think about your next shot. You need to be straight off the tees or yoy will be punished by the trees. It is not uncommon for even a single figure player to go into double figures on a hole! The clubhouse offers a warm and relaxed atmosphere and a nice welcome to both members and guests alike. The facilities are very good and are what you would expect at a top rate course. The mix of both British and German golfers is fantastic and often frendships bonded which last for many years. Next time you are in Germany and would like to sample a little bit of British Culture with a hint of Germany thrown in give this place a visit. I promise you wont be let down!!!
