PING G425 Irons Review

By: Golfshake Editor | Tue 02 Feb 2021

Part of the G425 Family, PING's new irons boast a metal-wood-style, variable face thickness (VFT) design, which has been engineered to deliver enhanced forgiveness and greater ball speeds, featured alongside tungsten weighting in the heel and toe, which also offers golfers extra support and feel.

In the process of creating the new face design, PING developed a more compact head that sets a new standard for forgiveness for an iron its size. While shorter heel-to-toe than the G410 model, it boasts a 3% higher MOI due to mass savings from the new face geometry, which expands the perimeter weighting and greatly tightens dispersion.

Additionally, the irons also feature the Arccos Smart Caddie Grip.

But are these the fastest irons that PING has launched yet? Golfshake's Ryan Rastall, the Head Professional at Howley Hall Golf Club in Leeds, has tested and reviewed them for us, including a comparison with the G410.
