Golf shoe addiction

Some people have cocaine addictions, others alcohol and tobacco - mine is golf shoes! Is there a golf shoe rehab? I need help quickly before I buy a pair of Ecco golf shoes I have my eye on, which I don't need (and can't afford)! The sales on at the moment aren't helping and I am in danger of purchasing a couple of pairs - does anyone else have this addiction, or am I just a bit odd?

Mr Ramowski, stop being an enabler.  The man is crying out for help and you do that to him.  You should be ashamed of yourself

Darren H - I also like golf shoes but also own some willpower and self-restraint.  Oh, and a wife that scares me

Darren R - I'll meet you in the alley next to the chip shop - £50 cash, need them in a size 9.

I'll stop now, this is getting weird!

I recently tried on a pair of Ecco Biom shoes - probably the most comfortable footwear, of any type, that i've ever worn. But £170?

Paul - the 'Biom's' are the ones I want, but as you state £170 is very hard to justify (and they never seem to be in any sales) - i've now decided to treat myself to a pair, when I get my handicap down to 17 (although I'll tell the other half that they cost around £80!).

Darren's - Royal Albatros are pretty much the ultimate in my opinion (that link is golf shoe porn), I need to work on my game to justify £355+ on a pair of golf shoes though (and buy the Mrs' something expensive!) - perhaps when I get my handcap down to single figures!

I have to agree Darren. Im working on the mrs for a pair of these but things are not looking good. I think this is going to have to be a long haul approach. lol

P.S there is no am i good enough at this game justification needed. I need these golf shoes love as they will help me to play better.( wink, wink)

Darren - I know what you mean about the long haul approach (unfortunately I've already used the 'they will help me play better' routine with previous golf shoes and it's wearing a bit thin now!). If you are a size 8.5 - 9, perhaps we could go halves and alternate the weeks we use them?!

Darren - we go halves and you keep the left shoe and I keep the right?! There must be a way we can work this! A mate of mine turned up at the driving range today in a pair of white and navy blue Stuburt Darren Clarke's - a very traditional shoe, but actually super cool and at £160 a pair, a little more in my realm (the Mrs' is still an issue though - she wants to spend any spare money on a Kitchenaid mixer - whatever that is?!).
