Looks like the gauntlet has been laid down!

For anyone new to Golfshake or the forums this event is organised by a long time Golfshake member Dave Knatt and over the last 2 years has seen teams enter made up of Golfshake members including a Golfshake staff team last year.  So if you fancy playing and can muster up a team of 4 then it's a great day and team event worth playing.

For anyone interested in anymore information or wanting to take part see the info below plus links.

Once I am back in the office I will look to get a Golfshake team confirmed, although there is now only 1 player to pick unless I decide to become a non playing Captain

Event page - http://www.golfshake.com/golf/view/835/

Team's from Golfshake that I know of:

Golfshake A

3D Cubed

Sherfield Oaks ?

Oh no .... obviously combined with a very high swingspeed and enormous distance off the tee it must have been extremely difficult to film.

I look upon CGL as part of my team by proxy Al.

Thanks to Dave for organising (apart from getting my name wrong at the end!) the day so well again, really should get some more teams involved and am planning to go back to 2 teams next year if possible.  The course was in great condition and, most importantly, for the first time for a while I really enjoyed my round.

Well done Team - Big thanks to Mario for not only being a last minute addition and re-arranging work, but scoring one of the best rounds of his life an 87 iirc (par 72). The course was nice and the greens were good. Another tale of two halves for me - sprinted out in 40 - limped back in 47 (and 2 lost balls!). Great start by Al to be 3 - under at one point and then keeping it together when things started to go wrong. Stunning back 9 by Daz (1 over gross!).

Thanks to Dave and the team for organizing a top day - and well done Dave on your new Personal Best!

Thanks you Alan, Darren and Kev Tim!!

It was a great day and very grateful for everyone's support for this event. Once again the weather kept good and the course played well (as did a certain Event Organiser *cough* - but I don't wont to blow my own trumpet - much!)

Well done to CGL for finally wrestling the title from 3D Cubed. Will post final scores later today - please PM if you do not want to to add your round to your stats.

Thanks again to you all.

Had the pleasure of seeing your tee shot on the 11th Dave, stunning, directly behind the pin by about 3 feet? Then two putted????????

Far better than my effort of trying to wipe out those on the 12th tee, then carding a 5 after taking a penalty drop!

Had a great time, regardless of results and will be looking out for next years comp with interest.

P.S. Will the chuffing gym membership still be on offer in the raffle?

Bit late but I would also like to pass on my thanks to Dave for organising another great day.

Thanks also to Tim for giving me the Captains pick which I returned with a solid display. The banter our 4 ball was having it was as if we were having a social knock rather than playing in a comp. Thanks Tim, Dave & Kevin.

Pity we couldn't retain the trophy but CGL were deserved winners, let's just see if they can retain it 2 years on the trot

We will be rising to the challange and hopefully entering more than one team next year, to try and improve the chances of retaining the honour.

Ooops! Apologies Chris! (I included Alan twice because he said such nice things about my tee shot on the 11th!)

Total raised on the day was a grand total of £384.00!!

The 52 points was a very surprising score indeed, and I have to admit that I was relieved that that player's team didn't win, else I may have had a riot on my hands!!

Dave,

I don't know how that guy could have sat there & eat his meal knowing he had scored 52 points!!!

Just glad JP didn't know or he would have had an ear bashing.
