Designed by English architect Frank Pennink, Vilamoura Old Course was opened in 1969 and was completely refurbished in 1996, when several improvements were introduced and a new clubhouse built. The oldest of the Vilamoura courses, its tree lined fairways and exemplary greens make this layout one of the best in the area. The course is renowned for the way the designer has skilfully utilised the natural contours of the land, whilst maintaining the native vegetation, consisting mainly of pine trees. Vilamoura Old is a track that will definitely linger long in the memory of visiting golfers.Course Information
