The 6,600 yard par 72 Lakes Course boasts the two toughest finishing holes in the county. Set in the beautiful Wiltshire countryside the course has been referred to as a jewel. With the USGA standard greens and beautifully rolled and textured fairways this is a challenge to golfers of all abilities.

Played this twice over 2 days with overnight stay, dinner etc. Nice course wide fairways, a fair bit of water and well placed bunkers. The greens for March were very poor with many bare patches. Overall for the money though it was enjoyable, good service in the hotel and very friendly on the course.

really top grade club with great facilities. Welcoming club with hotel facilities ajoining,bar and dining area, caters for general public as well. some really technical holes as well as having agood selection of par5s and4s with lots of hidden dangers(water and bunkers). A great expierience

As a member of this course, I have seen the up's and downs of a hard winter. On the plus side, the course stayed open for play but on the negative, this had a really detrimental effect on the greens in particular. As the course dries out, I can see changes in the fairways and the greens will improve. Still in transition from winter state so everything is a little shaggy but still a decent challenge.
Have to say that I would not recommend as a visitor with very steep pay to play prices. Even guest rate with a member is steep.

good shop staff, nice building, course needs alot more grass, the greens are good on about 4 holes the rest are almost temp green quality. worth doing the credit cruncher deal otherwise i would avoid.

Became a member on 30th June 2009 after playing several rounds with freinds. Really enjoy the challenge of this course. It is a scoreable course with plenty of challenges that will test golfers of all abilities.

Disappointed with this course, expected more from a private course, it had Hercules planes flying overhead, grass cutters whizzing everywhere (this should be done first thing in the morning not while fee payers are playing golf) and construction workers buzzing up and down the compound.
Course was dry and cracked and for the fee paid expected a bit more.
