Hunting (De Vere Slaley Hall)
The Hunting is a truly great course and it's no surprise that it holds European Tour events on an annual basis - it was also England's entry to stage the 2010 Ryder Cup. The challenging par 4, 9th is an awesome hole, with a carry over water through a narrow avenue of towering trees and dense rhododendrons. With the abundant foliage along the fairways, you'll see why this course is one of the most colourful in the British Isles.

Priestman (De Vere Slaley Hall)
The Priestman is a slightly newer course and is generally thought to be of equal standard. It was superbly designed by PGA Chairman Neil Coles and weaves its way across 280 acres of the Western side of this beautiful estate sporting stunning views as far as the Cheviot Hills in Scotland.

Played the Priestman course with the GTour.
Beautiful golf course with stunning scenery.
The greens were very good and the best of the De Vere courses I have played.
It was extremely windy on the day with rather ruined it from a scoring point of view.
Like to play both courses on a calmer day!

played both coarses on our society break, the hunting was in superb condition, never played on greens as quick as these were. even enjoyed the priestman with its gur bunkers. 1st class resort and absolute bargain for what we paid

Played both courses championship course was exellent the other course was disapionting as all the bunkers were GUR with no sand good value £99 for 2 rounds BB & EM plus £10 bar voucher

Excellent course, great facilities. Holes 10 to 13 disappointing and out of keeping with rest. Superb front nine and good finish, although 18th is a bit "fiddly" - have to play a mid iron off tee and leave long approach - just managed to carry ravine with driver flat out but not really the shot to play.

Played the huning course as part of a golf break.The hunting course certainly lived up to the hype.Standing on the first tee it straight away has that 'tour' feel.immaculate,huge tees,starters hut etc.This continues right through the round.The best fairways i have ever played,hard and like carpet.very dry even in october.the green ran verysmooth and quite quick(not as quick s priestman the other championship course on site).The front 9 has a parkland feel and is very easy on the eye,with pine trees and similar others and colourful flowers,check out the 9th and its similaritiesto augusta!10-13 slightly disappoint only in layout and then you reach the highest point of the course.The final 5 holes i enjoyed the most,heathland feel with a very difficult long par 4 to finish.i would recommend this course to anyone,well worth the 200 pond for 3 rounds and 2nights accomodation.

This venue has two very good courses and bith are challenging, although the Hunting course is by far the most difficult. Very tight fairways and if you miss you them it very unforgiving.
Totally enjoyable weekend there playing both courses over 2 days with Dinner B&B in the hotel. Excellent value for money.

Expensive but the course is imaculate, the fairways are better than some of the greens i have played on. They do good weekend deals if you use the hotel cheaper green fees.

I was fortunate enough to play both the Priestman and the Hunting course at this fantastic venue. The priestman although not championship standard like the hunting course is still demanding and a very nice course to play. Unfortunately as they are gearing for the senirs event at the end of June the Priestman has suffered while all efforts are on the Hunting course to be ready.
Playing the Hunting course was an absolut dream, it has everything from massive Par 5's to technical par 4's and some lovely par 3's. Even as a high handicap golfer just to play on such a course was an absolute privelege and thoroughly enjoyable!
