if you like a challenging course then this is the course for you lots of bunkers to catch you off the tee and neer the green also really slow greens and there is alot of water on the fairway if there has been rain so you dont get value in your shots i think i can hit the ball along way and even i needed a driver and wood for every par 4/5 (was very bad when we played it so much water on the fairways) we got on for £17 on tee off times

very good course but a challenging layout, walks from greens to tees can be far! as the other reviews state, keep it on the short stuff or you will struggle - the rough is very unforgiving - play to your handicap here and you will do well, the price on teeofftimes was amazing (£17) as was the scenery

Played on a Saturday afternoon and had a very relaxing stroll round in the October sunshine. Course in great condition for time of year and played using teetimes online, not bad for £15, well worth using the site.

The Cardrona provides is a stern test of of golfing ability which high handicappers may find too tough. The fairways are quite generous but straying off the short stuff will often leave you wading through waist high rough looking for your ball. On the plus side the course is set in a beautiful valley and watching your drive soaring down the middle against the backdrop of the tree-covered hills is something special. There are some lengthy walks between holes and I would recommend a buggy if combining play at this course with another on the same day as we did - playing the first 8 holes took us 2 and a half hours and my playing partners were single figure handicappers!

Tough course in cracking condition, club selection is crucial and you can lose a lot of balls.

I really enjoyed the two days we were up there.

Played in a Company Sponsored Golf Day, weather horrendous, making the day very difficult for high handicappers, even so course was good. Can imagine would be really enjoyable in good weather, even though would still be a tough course. Totally on my knees by end of day having done 27 holes, soaked to the skin and cold. Cant wait for next year.
