Innerleithen Golf ClubInnerleithen golf course is a 9 hole golf course located in the Scottish Borders, 32 miles south of Edinburgh and 6 miles from Peebles. This attractive course set in one of three valleys enjoys magnificent surroundings. The Leithen Valley and its river form an integral part of the course and requires some accurate and thoughtful shot making in order to score well. The course was opened in 1886 and was designed by 3 times Open champion Willie Park Jnr. The course is set on a river bed and as a result is easily walkable with only three of the tees being elevated (It's well worth the walk to admire the views you are afforded)

Location: Travelling south on the A72 from Peebles take the 4th left at the east end of Innerleithen High Street onto the B709 for 1 mile. Travelling north from Galashiels take the 3rd right onto the B709 for 1 mile.

Golf course review of Innerleithen Golf Club

Despite being only a 9 hole course Innerleithen has some very strong holes which will test all levels of golfer, especially the 3rd hole from the white tee which is set high up in the very corner of the course. The course was in excellent condition when we visited on a Tuesday morning - the only drawback was there were no catering facilities available (other than drinks and confectionery vending machines) meaning we had to drive into town for what turned out to be a very overpriced lunch).
