Perhaps the most popular area for golf in Mississippi is its Gulf Coast. There are over twenty golf courses on this coast, one of which was the first course ever in Mississippi: built in 1908, the Great Southern Golf Club still retains its status as one of best! Slightly further inland, the standard of golf is just as high, with such courses as Dogwood Hills and The Preserve Golf Club.
