I work full-time in London and live with my fiancee in the house we bought in 2008. We are getting married in May so lots of organising to do for that at the moment but it's going pretty well. Life is pretty good at the moment. I'm 29 and am an avid Chelsea fan. I try to get to Stamford Bridge 10-12 times a season. I tend to watch any sport that is on the TV but football and golf are my biggest interests.

About my golf

I have always been interested in golf and played a local pitch and putt now and again with friends when I was at school. I didn't start playing 'proper' courses until I was about 18 and only then played once or twice a year.

Over the last couple of years I have been playing a bit more but still not what I would call regularly. I have been trying to play a minimum of a couple of rounds a month since January 2009 but having had a problem with my back had two months without a game. I broke 100 for the first time in 2009 and have broken it again on several occasions since so I am hoping that this is a sign of things to come.

I had a block of six lessons at the end of 2008 which really helped to show what I was dong wrong. I need all round improvement although my short game is probably the worst part. I think I will look at having a few more lessons soon so I can try and kick on with my game.

I have just had an overhaul of my set and invested in new fairway wood, hybrid, irons and putter. I know new equipment won't suddenly turn me in to a scratch golfer but to have a more forgiving set custom fit to me should help a bit. Here's hoping!

Even though I'm not playing great I am still really enjoying playing and getting out for a few hours with friends. Hopefully all the practice will start to pay off one day.

I have recently joined my local golf course as a seven day member and will be playing more regularly, at least once a week hopefully. I have just managed to shoot 88 and break 90 for the first time in Feb 2010. Going for sub-80 now!
