Course review : Clandon Regis Golf Club
by Tim Stansbury on Aug 4 2009I've now played at Clandon a number of times and enjoy going back there more and more. The course is not overly long but set in some lovely wooded parkland, offering some great testing holes. The back nine is great to play, with quality holes all the way from the 11th tee finishing with a great 18th hole, the approach over water in front of the clubhouse. Very fast true greens in summer.
Good food and a great selection of beers, including a pint of 'Tea' - an excellent bitter.
All in all, fantastic.The Course

Course review : Foxhills Golf Club
by Tim Stansbury on Sep 8 2008Even with all the rain we've had the course was in really good condition, especially the greens. A great round and they've made some improvements to 14, 15 and 16, testing you till the end. Well worth playing.

Course review : PGA National Resort & Spa
by Tim Stansbury on Jul 4 2008This course was designed by Fazio and then again by Nicklaus in 1990. It's a great layout set around a lot of lakes, so you've got to hit it straight off the tee! A great course and one of 5! at PGA National Resort.

Course review : Reunion Resort
by Tim Stansbury on Jul 4 2008Great golf course and part of the Ginn Reunion resort, so two other courses available. The Legacy was designed by Arnold Palmer, some great holes over water, big faiways and quick greens. Fantastic and really close to Orlando, so easy to get to!

Course review : Leatherhead Golf Club
by Tim Stansbury on Mar 22 2008Very nice course, we played in after a fair bit of rain so it was fairly wet with quite a few mats instead of tee boxes. A great front 9 with some good par 5's, back 9 plays a lot shorter but tight enough to be a good test. Keen to play again in Summer. Greens were superb.

Course review : Hindhead Golf Club
by Tim Stansbury on Mar 4 2008Played this on 3rd March 08 and the first time for a while. Once again it was in great condition, the greens running slower than in summer but this made it easier for once! A course to play in 08.

Course review : St Georges Hill Golf Club
by Tim Stansbury on Oct 30 2007One of the best close to London. This is without doubt one of my favourite courses in England, a graet feel to the club, excellent food and facilites, and 1st tee area with the clubhouse overlooking it. The course is fantastic, well done if you get the chance to play it! Oh to be a member...

Course review : Goodwood Golf Club
by Tim Stansbury on Oct 30 2007This course used to be the Marriott golf course, but is now part of the Goodwood estate - this can only be a good thing! Golfers get to use the facilities at The Kennels Clubhouse, top 5* quality facilities, changing rooms, bar, proshop, etc - worth going just for that! The course is good, they've in fact changed it around so the 1st is close to the new clubhouse. Well kept, fairly open at first but then gets harder. I'm sure the quality of the main Downs Course at Goodwood will spread over to this one... one to watch!

Course review : Hindhead Golf Club
by Tim Stansbury on Oct 30 2007Hindhead is one of the best courses you will play within an hour of London! The clubhouse is slightly dated, but the course is in fantastic condition. The greens are superb. The best 9 is the front, winding through the valley. The back 9 is higher up offering stunning views, and slightly easier than the front. One of my favourites!

by Tim Stansbury on May 15 2007A good golf course that is cleverly testing!
The greens are in general very quick and sometimes the most testing part of the course. Nice views through the 9's as you play around the manor house, especially from the 9th tee! A good track that is definitely worth going to play. I like the open air driving range too!The Course
