Off to a great start, time to quit!

Well I never did write a New Year resolution blog, set any targets or keep up with the fitness comeback after my sabbatical from golf last year. Maybe someone's telling me something having put on 2 stone, the Nintendo Wii telling me I have been absent for 56 days! and having not swung a club on the course for 3 months    

At last I ventured out last Sunday in a competition 'Springtime season starter ' at the Belfry organised by Chris Perry from golfshake.com  I was also told I needed some course practice before tackling the Belfry PGA course , which I did with 40 balls 40 minutes before my round.

So in true typical form for me, I had a terrible front 9, but recovered with 10 over par on the back , 3 pars in a row and a total of 31 points to take 3rd spot on countback out of 32 golfers   

I guess once again, first round of the year will be the best for me, so maybe time to give up?   or for the eternal optimists, time for more practice!

So, here late in March, here's looking forward to the golfshake.com North vs South ,  hopefully organising an East Mids matchplay knockout cup and the 2009 Gtour amateur golf event .

I'd played 4 times by this time last year, guess I best start swinging those clubs !
