Feature Review: Axglo Trilite Trolley Review

By: Golf Shake | Wed 29 Jul 2015

Axglo are new to the UK market, a premium push trolley manufacturer who have enjoyed great success in Canada and Asia they have released several models in 2015. We thought it was about time we got our hands on one to put to the test. Here is how we got on with the AxgloTrilite:

What Axglo say:

  • An extremely compact fold size (25.5" x 16.7" x 12.5") making it easy to carry and store.
  • Powder coated protective paint for weather-resistant, long-lasting premium appearance.
  • A bag rack engineered to support a variety of golf bag sizes, with durable and straight forward adjustable straps.
  • Maintenance-free and airless wheels.
  • Adjustable, padded handles to suit users preference.
  • A simple engage/release hand brake system.
  • A large capacity storage console capable of holding every necessary accessory and more

Looks

The Axglo Trilite is a great looking push trolley. The version that I used was black with green trim on the wheels. The trolley comes in black only, but with a range of coloured wheels. Some may find the colours a little strong, but personally i liked how striking the trolley looked.

Functionality

Really a key category in reviewing any trolley, firstly it folds down to a really small size. I was easily able to fit both the trolley and my set of clubs in the boot of my hatchback. Another huge plus is that it is really, really light weighing in at just 12lb's. Lugging trolleys in and out of the car to the garage is annoying at the best of times, the Axglo Trilite made this really easy and I could easily carry with just one hand. A big plus in my opinion.

The Trilite was also super easy to fold up and down, for me this function along with how it performs on the course are the most important when considering a trolley purchase. Sometimes you feel you are wrestling some plastic and metal octopus when putting up a trolley, but the Trilite was easy, intuitive and I could even unfold with just one hand when using foot rest.

Performance

The TriLite was a solid performer on the course. It ran well, although maybe the wheels were not as free as some that I have used before

Trolleys have certainly come a long way since the horrid pull trolleys that had you stooping with one arm trailing behind you. Ergonomically the TriLite is great, it was easy to steer, the high handle meant that I could stand straight and save my back.

I used a carry bag on the trolley. Often when you get anything other than a cart bag, a trolley can struggle to hold the bag securley. I was suprised and pleased to see that the Tri-Cart held my bag securely and i did not need to adjust at any point.

Pros

Small, compact, easy to fold and very light, it takes the chore out of having a trolley. The ergonomic friendliness of the trolley is also a real plus!

Cons

The wheels could run a little easier when on the course, other than that there was not a lot to like!

The Bottom Line

A great addition to the trolley market. It has all the performance you would expect from a premium push trolley, but had the additional benefits of being incredibly light meaning that it took the pain out of carrying/storing and folding.

Golfshake Rating - 9/10

The Axglo Trilite carries a retail price of £129. You can learn more about the push trolley by visiting their website - Click Here
