By: Golf Shake | Thu 02 Jul 2015

Odyssey has unveiled an exclusive, limited edition ‘Lucky 777’ model to celebrate the continued global success of its iconic #7 Putter.

Only 777 have been manufactured, with 77 available in Europe, and its release underlines the importance of this celebrated progressive mallet design, which has been a leading money-maker on global professional Tours for almost a decade.

“The #7 is quickly earning a place as one of the best putters ever designed. For this special line of #7s, we’re coming out with some looks and options no one has ever seen before in this model” said Austie Rollinson, Odyssey’s Principal Designer.

Precision milled from 1020 carbon steel and sporting a unique Copper Rose finish, this special #7 features a one-off gold PVD Fusion RX insert and a casino-themed aluminum sole plate that not only makes this putter a work of art, but allows for the removal of weight for maximum adjustability and unbelievable performance.

This must-have #7 is available in three unique hosel options: CH - Crank hosel with crank joint; SB - single bend look with slant joint; and CS - centre-shafted, and also comes complete with a Black Tour Pistol Grip and a Lucky 777 themed headcover.

The #7 is trusted by some of the best golfers in the world, including World Number 6 Henrik Stenson. It has a high MOI (resistance to twisting) and weighted alignment wings that make it incredibly forgiving and easy to align. The adjustable Lucky 777 models offer golfers the ability to alter the head weight between 340g, 350g or 360g, to match putting conditions and personal preference.

Neil Howie, Managing Director and President of Callaway EMEA, said: “This putter recognises the continued global success of Odyssey’s #7 head design and will give a select few golfers the opportunity to own a product that not only looks incredible, but is very rare too and will become a collector’s item. This Lucky 777 is definitely one for the golfing connoisseur who understands what this putter has meant to the game.”
