Further details from PGA professional James Hopley on 07967 650498.

Moorend Driving Range, which can be found in Woodford Road, Bramhall, is just 20 minutes from Manchester city centre and also includes a nine hole par 34 play and pay course.

Craig Thomas, county development officer for the Cheshire Golf Partnership commented "Clubs across the county are making it easier than ever for people to give golf a go.

“It doesn’t matter if you’ve never played golf or haven’t picked up a club since your school days or an almost-forgotten holiday. You can get started by taking advantage of one of the beginner courses, which offer great value for money.

“Starting out in a group of people in a similar situation is a great introduction to the sport and the social and fun aspect of getting to grips with new skills.

“There is no need to wait until the light nights and summer months. The facilities at places like Moorend Driving Range mean it is never too soon to give golf a go.”

Get into golf is a national campaign to inspire adults to take up the game and is run by the England Golf Partnership through its network of County Golf Partnerships, supported by Sport England and National Lottery funding.
