Golfshake Awards - Player of the Year

Following on from the 'Shot of 2012' yesterday, today we announce the winner of the 2012 Player of the Year.
Winning a 2nd major, 2 FedEx cup wins plus winning both money lists and being world number 1, Nick had already written the congratulations card, so it comes as no surprise that not only did he get 51% of the Golfshake vote but today Rory McIlroy was also announced as the PGA Tour Player of the Year, at 23 the youngest since Tiger Woods in 1998.

Ian Poulter came 2nd for his Ryder Cup heroics with a respectiable 33%, other mentions went to Na Yeon Choi following here win at the US Womens Open and Kristoffer Broberg for his 2012 Challenge Tour season.
