Rife Wins in Australia

Posted by: Darren Ramowski on Tue 20 Dec 2011

Rife Putters finished off a great 2011 season this Sunday, helping the new world No.16 to victory at the JBWere Australian Masters.

Starting the day 2 shots behind the leader, the flamboyant Rife user made up ground immediately when he sank a 15 foot eagle putt to draw level.

From there on the putts kept on dropping for the Englishman as he continued to play some of the most consistent golf of his season.
After his final round 67 gave him a 3 shot victory the winner commented, "You have to hole out exceptionally well, especially in the wind. That's what I did very, very well.”
Although he had played exceptionally all week, it was only after making his third huge putt of the week at 16, and  then nailing a drive down the 17th that he could relax. The pressure remained on up until that point but his swing stayed good and his putts remained quick and true, delivering a well earned victory and an end of season rest.
Rife Putters still remain true to the ideal of not paying any players to use its putters. Some of the best in the world just choose to because they work. The winner of the JBWere Australian Masters is the best known of a growing band of followers on the worlds major Tours who now understand that the best way to get paid for using a certain type of putter is not through endorsement but through the much bigger cheques being handed out every Sunday evening on Tour.
