Faldo Series make American TV Debut on Golf Channel
The Faldo Series Grand Final, from Lough Erne Resort in Northern Ireland, will make its American television debut with an hour-long special, which will air on the Golf Channel on Tuesday 25 October at 3 pm ET and Saturday 29 October at 12 noon.
Among the highlights from the fifteenth Grand Final is a visit by past Faldo Series Champion, Rory McIlroy who hosts a clinic for the young players and discusses his life in golf with Sir Nick Faldo.
Established in 1996, the Faldo Series provides opportunity through golf to more than 5,000 young people each year through 35 tournaments in 25 countries worldwide. Recent graduates include McIlroy, Yani Tseng and promising new professional, Tom Lewis.
Supported by The R&A, the European Tour and Lough Erne Resort, the 2011 Faldo Series Europe schedule featured a record 18 tournaments in 11 different countries including seven in England plus others in Ireland, Scotland, Wales, the Czech Republic, Russia, Greece, The Netherlands, Brazil, Germany and Slovakia.
