World Golf Tour

By: Adam Smith | Wed 19 Oct 2011

World Golf TourWe haven’t featured this for a while and as we certainly don’t advocate playing games at work this should certainly be an exception!

Whether at work or just bored at home the World Golf Tour is a brilliant game to play. It’s free, it’s online and it can give you hours of fun! Yes Golfshake has been playing it quite a lot.

World Golf Tour also incorporates the power of social media, invite your friends via Twitter or Facebook and play with or against them online at some of the world’s best and well known courses.

Okay it’s not quite Tiger Woods golf you get on the consols but it really does run it a close second place.

Easy to play, all you do is sign up and you will be taken through to play a few skills holes whilst you can watch tutorial videos of how to play the game. One through all those you are then free to go and play on your own picking from around seven courses to play Including the Ocean Course at Kiawah Island (it must be noted, that I played this course first and shot a five over 77, so go and beat that), St Andrews, Bethpage Black and Congressional along with other major venues.

Other options you can play are matchplay and fun games such as closet-to-the-pin.

I know you’re probably asking where the catch is; well yes it isn’t all free. For you to improve and get better clubs and unlock more courses you have to buy credits. You can do this online securely.

But even without buying the credits you can have so much fun. Just don’t let your boss catch you!!
