Westwood, McIlroy and Poulter in Chinese Challenge
Ryder Cup stars Lee Westwood, Rory McIlroy and Ian Poulter will partake in a unique golf event in China next week.
Along with local hero Liang Wenchong the four players will compete in a seven-day, seven city challenge where they will play two or three holes on eight different courses.
Starting in Shanghai they then pass through Zhengzhou, Beijing and Chongqing before finishing in Macau.
Wenchong, will be acting as a tour guide as well as a player for the three world stars as the event aims to help promote golf in China in different regions.
“I’m going to win”, said Poulter who is confident going into the event.
"It's going to be fun to jump on a jet between the different cities and have a laugh," he added.
"The schedule has a nice blend of different types of courses with different designers so hopefully it's going to showcase everything about golf in China."
The players will start on Monday 10 October.
