Mickelson is waiting in the wings to be Number 1.Less than a point separate Tiger Woods, Phil Mickleson and Lee Westwood at the top of the World Rankings ahead of the next big event.

All three players will be in action at the WGC Bridgestone Invitational in Akron next month and depending on their respective results either one could be sitting at the top.

The winners on tour last weekend were the biggest movers:

Carl Pettersson who won the Canadian Open climbed 98 places to 109. Fellow Swede Richard Johnson, the first home winner of the Scandinavian Masters since Jesper Parnevik moved to a career high 189th.
