Callaway staff players at the Open 'Whats in their bag'?

As day two of Open Championship is ready to start, Callaway’s team of Staff Professionals have been honing both their game and their equipment in anticipation of the unique challenges of St Andrews.

Many have visited the Callaway Tour Truck in order to customise existing equipment or even take on new
clubs to help cope with the testing conditions of the Old Course.

Tour Truck Notes: Alex likes to replace his wedges often so the grooves are as sharp as possible so will have
the new wedges he used at Loch Lomond last week. He also has a new FT 3-wood with a 13º head. The
actual loft is 11.8 degrees.

Tour Truck Notes: Alvaro has taken a new 2-iron. It’s an inch longer than his usual clubs and at 17.5º is half-
a-degree stronger than standard. He has a new shaft in his driver that will lower his spin rates and is also
using a slightly firmer insert in his putter.

Tour Truck Notes: Phil is using the same set-up as at the Masters. As Lefty says: “Because the rough here
doesn’t require hacking-out shots like the US Open or PGA often do, I took the hybrid out just like I do at the
Masters. I’ll play a 3-iron instead. Everything else is the same.”
