GolfMission

By: Adam Smith | Fri 18 Jun 2010

golf-missionRecently I played in a friendly three ball to test out GolfMission as a fun part of the game.

It was a great challenge to have on the side as you play your round. We played Stableford as well so you can easily use it alongside any forms of the game.

For those that don’t know, GolfMission is a game that focuses on six areas of you and your game whilst playing your round:

•    Lowers your score
•    Increases your focus
•    Improves course management
•    Sets targets
•    Designed for all skill levels
•    Unique new concept

The game comes on a set of cards and you have six missions on each card for example mine were:

1.    No three putts on the first three holes
2.    Hit any par 3 green or have one 3 on the card
3.    No sand on the last 3 holes
4.    Par any three holes in a row
5.    Three 3’s or better on the card
6.    Hit three fairways on the front nine and three on the back nine

The missions do get more difficult as you work your way down the list. All missions are relative to the player’s handicap so 18 and above you complete any three missions, handicap between 17-10 you complete any four missions and so on.

The winner is the player who has completed their missions by the end.

Personally I really enjoyed it; it does give you that extra bit of focus and gets you thinking of other things other than the score that is going on your card.

If you are playing in a society or you have regular partners that you go out with, I suggest you give GolfMission a try.
