Golf LIVE Event Schedule

Following on from our recent amazing 2 for 1 introductory offer to visit the O2 Golf LIVE event, they have now announced the eagerly awaited event schedule.

Taking place at Stoke Park, May 14-16, O2 Golf LIVE will provide a three-day golfing extravaganza, with an array of interactive clinics and performances involving Colin Montgomerie, Ian Poulter, Paul Casey, Retief Goosen, Catriona Matthew, and world-renowned coaches David Leadbetter and Denis Pugh.

Masterclasses

Colin Montgomerie, Europe’s 2010 Ryder Cup captain and eight-time European Tour Order of Merit winner, will be holding four 30-minute Masterclass Theatre sessions on each day of O2 Golf LIVE. One of the finest public speakers among the Tour golf fraternity, Monty will talk about the highlights of his career, offer some invaluable tips for club golfers, and take questions from the crowd.

Monty’s Masterclass will take place each day at 10:00; 11:30; 13:30 & 15:30.

In addition to Monty’s Masterclass a comprehensive series of masterclasses with the O2 Golf LIVE Tour pros will also take place on each day of the event, with the clinics addressing one of three areas: Tee Shots; Mid Irons and Short Game. A total of 12 additional theatre sessions will be held each day, starting every half hour from 10am until the end of day show at 4.30pm. Spectators can plan their day to make sure they can see their favourite players hitting a variety of shots whilst explaining their drills and techniques close up.  

On a typical day you could learn how to drive it further with Paul Casey, hit more greens with David Leadbetter & Catriona Matthew and sharpen up your short game with either Retief Goosen or Ian Poulter.

The 3-hole Challenge

Each day of O2 Golf LIVE will feature three Challenge matches, each played over three holes of the Championship golf course at Stoke Park. Staged without keeping spectators corralled away from the golfers by ropes, the opening skirmish on Friday, May 14 will see English Ryder Cup team-mates Ian Poulter and Paul Casey go head-to-head, with commentary from Sky Sports’ Richard Boxall and Tour caddie Billy Foster. With the current numbers 6 and 7 in the World Ranking competing in a match play format in which the slightest misjudgement could literally decide the match, this will certainly be one of the ‘must see’ events of O2 Golf LIVE. In an all-Scottish battle of the sexes, Monty will take on Catriona Matthew at 12:30 on May 14, with commentary from Foster and Sky Sports’ Di Stewart.

3-hole Challenges involving all five of the O2 Golf LIVE Tour golfers will be staged each day at 10:30, 12:30 & 14:30.  

Other features of O2 Golf LIVE include jaw-dropping trick shot performances from Jeremy Dale, opportunities for people to try out clubs for themselves on the Cleveland/Srixon Short Game Range, the Jaguar Driving Range and the Putting Range, there will be a nearest-the-pin competition and also Retail and Food Villages.
