Gi magazine 8 to generate in 2010
Golf International magazine is delighted to announce that it will be increasing its frequency from 6 to 8 issues in 2010.
"This is a highly significant step forward for Gi," says editor Richard Simmons. "All of us are aware that the golf industry has endured a pretty tough 18 months or so, and things are likely to remain fairly tight as we head into 2010. But at the same time you have to speculate, and all the signs are that Golf International now has a substantial 'core' following of golfers who would like to see the magazine published more often. And while the publishing sector generally has seen magazine sales fall by over 20%, we have grown our sales on the newsstand this year. Our efficiencies are now more in line with those of successful, long-standing titles, and this – along with a number of other initiatives currently underway – leads us to believe we can steadily grow our business in 2010."
