3rd Gtour event - results and OoM

The 3rd stop on the Gtour Amateur Golf Series and Order of Merit tour took place on Saturday 30th May 2009 at De Vere Slaley Hall. The Gtour team were delighted in being able to upgrade the event to take place on the Championship Hunting course which is set to host the Seniors PGA Championship in 3 weeks time.

Once again the sun shone, the course was in excellent condition and the event was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

Everyone involved thoroughly enjoyed the day, course and company and the experience from both the Gtour and De Vere staff. To quote a few:

'The ninth hole was about as close to Augusta as I'm going to get, The course was fantastic, the staff and all the guys who played were great.'

'Best course I've ever played.'

The event was won by Gavin McEntee shooting a gross 82 off his 9 handicap, closely followed Nicholas Hopkinson in his 2nd Gtour event who is now also movingup the Order of Merit points board .
