What Driver Head Loft do I need?

This depends on each player. Swing speed and angle of attack are very important considerations. So, for example, a skilled player may hit the ball between one and four degrees on the upstroke and thereby increase 'dynamic loft,' that is how open the face truly is at impact. A player with a 'poor smasher' factor i.e. poor level of efficiency in converting swing speed into ball speed may possibly require more loft, particularly if his follow through is poor.
The following scale is purely a starting point guide, and assumes that the player has been correctly fitted with a top quality shaft:
