FootJoy Unveils New HydroSeries Range
FootJoy has sought to prepare golfers for the months ahead by unveiling its new HydroSeriesTM range of rain jackets. These garments feature DryJoys Waterproof Technology and include a protective option for every golfer during the colder and wetter months.
Leading the HydroSeries line is the all-new HydroTourTM, designed to withstand the most extreme weather conditions and equip golfers with the ultimate storm-proof jacket, featuring the proprietary DrySeal Technology. HydroTour features a DrySeal Technology collar - a double collar system with a cinch cord on the inner layer to keep the rain out and clever drainage holes on the outer layer which prevent water from running down the back of your neck.
FJ’s most innovative rain jacket features a 3-panel construction with fewer seams and premium, multi-directional stretch fabric to provide full range of motion throughout the golf swing. The highly protective jacket defends in cool, wet conditions and boasts a waterproof rating above 20,000mm of water column pressure, making HydroTour the most complete rain jacket for golf.
HydroTour is available in two colourways: black with charcoal and lime, and navy with black and bright red.
FJ's Senior Apparel Designer, PJ Skurla commented: “We wanted to design a rain jacket that was the ultimate seal from the elements. The HydroTour’s combination of 3-panel construction with the DrySeal Technology collar minimises any chance of rainwater reaching the body, keeping golfers dry and comfortable in the worst conditions.”
The all-new HydroLiteTM complements the range as the perfect, lightweight waterproof rain jacket with added breathability and stretch to the fabric. Better suited to warmer conditions, the jacket’s 100% waterproof and breathable construction ensures comfort and total protection from the elements, whilst the 2.5-layer lightweight fabric folds to a compact size for easy storage in the golf bag to provide a trusted option through changeable conditions. The HydroLite is available in five striking colourways including a tonal marble effect print in black and navy, in addition to the Chevron pattern design in black with grey and lime, royal with black and silver and navy with bright red and white.
Concluding the range, the versatile HydroKnitTM builds on its continued successes with a 4-way stretch fabric and 30% lighter weight construction to provide the wearability of a midlayer and performance of a rain jacket. Now with the addition of hand pockets and DWR finish throughout, the jacket elevates its comfort whilst remaining uncompromising in its protection against the elements. The HydroKnit ½ Zip is available in three colourways made up of: black and grey with lime, navy and denim, and charcoal with bright red and white.
All three HydroSeries options are accompanied by matching waterproof trousers, that offer a revised fit and more tapered feel, allowing the golfer to use as a stand-a-lone trouser as well as an over-trouser, depending on preference and conditions.
The headline HydroTour trouser (£170) is available in black, whilst the HydroLite trouser (SRP: £120) and HydroKnit trouser (£150) are available in black or navy colourways.
